“I was convinced our electricity bills were too high, they didn’t look right and once I shared my concerns with Lucie, she was more than happy to investigate for us.”
Prash Shah is the company’s Financial Accountant and responsible for managing energy expenditure. He said: “Before working with Utility Bidder, we had worked with another energy broker, however, I felt they were starting to take our business for granted and decided to look elsewhere.”
Utility Bidder prides itself on providing exceptional customer service where all customers have their own dedicated account manager. Prash cannot speak highly enough of Lucie, who looks after Thomson Hayes.“Lucie is quite simply a star. She always puts the interest of our company first and I trust her advice 100%.” Prash receives regular information and updates about the energy market and forthcoming price trends which allow him to make informed decisions about which energy provider to use based on Lucie’s recommendations.
“Just by switching providers to those recommended by Utility Bidder has saved us thousands of pounds on our energy bills,” said Prash, “but having an energy broker also has other benefits.”
Utility Bidder carried out research to find all the information required and compiled it in a simple report that Thomson Hayes could use as part of their grant application. They successfully received £5,000 which was spent on the installation of a gas meter, more efficient radiators and replacing standard lighting with LEDs which will also help in reducing the cost of energy bills. Utility Bidder discovered that Thomson Hayes supplier was using kVA which measures apparent power and is a standing charge. We put a case to the provider that these charges should be reduced and thanks to our intervention, the company benefited to the tune of around £2,000.
“It’s wonderful to have somebody like Lucie on our side who acts like a member of our team. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the service she provides is second to none. To be honest – I don’t know where we would be without her!” -Prash Shah
